Bignst is a high-end fashion company specializing in custom fashion and merchandise, comparable to luxury brands like Gucci. My goal in designing the Bignst website was to encapsulate a refined, premium, and calm aesthetic that would resonate with the brand’s identity and target audience. By studying luxury fashion brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Balenciaga, I crafted a digital experience that blends sophistication with seamless user navigation.

Understanding the luxury fashion industry was critical in shaping the visual and functional aspects of the Bignst website. I analyzed the online presence of leading brands to identify key design elements that evoke exclusivity, including:

  • Minimalist Layouts – To emphasize product quality and craftsmanship.
  • High-Quality Imagery – Large, elegant visuals with ample white space.
  • Serene Color Palettes – Soft, neutral tones to evoke a sense of calm and exclusivity.
  • Typography Choices – Serif and modern sans-serif fonts for a balanced, high-end look.
  • Seamless UX/UI – Ensuring an intuitive browsing experience that feels effortless yet premium.

Design Approach

1. Aesthetics & Visual Identity

The Bignst website was designed to reflect the essence of luxury and calmness. I opted for a clean and minimal design with a focus on high-end typography and a neutral color palette featuring shades of beige, white, and soft gold accents.

2. Homepage Experience

  • Hero Section: A full-width hero banner showcasing elegant visuals of the latest collections with a concise yet impactful tagline.
  • Navigation: A simple, intuitive menu with smooth hover effects and subtle animations to enhance user engagement.
  • Call-to-Action: Strategic placement of CTAs like “Shop Now” and “Discover Collection” to drive conversions.
